A message from Laurie Harbert, Daughters subscriber, Los Angeles:
As the parent of a daughter,
have you ever encountered a situation that's completely new or had her ask you a
question you weren't sure how to answer? As the mother of three daughters, I
know I have. That's why you and I both depend on Daughters®: For Parents of
Girls.
Daughters is more than
a magazine-it's a community we share. A community we can (and must) grow with
our tax-deductible donations.
We are among the lucky people
who know about and rely on Daughters, but there are countless families
unable to afford this amazing resource. Daughters is a nonprofit publication
and has no advertising. As a result, it doesn't have deep pockets either. So, we
need to go one simple step beyond our subscription check and help Daughters
reach parents who can't afford this unique community on their own.
For two years Daughters
has used your donations to provide several hundred free subscriptions to
agencies helping low-income families. One thankful mother wrote, "Daughters'
articles offer good ideas and suggestions for both my daughter and myself to
apply and try out in our daily, busy lives. It has helped me start more open
conversations with my daughter."
Please join me and give
generously to Daughters today!
